Abbey Farm Cottage are now offering Goat Yoga in Collaboration with Lisa Stevenson of Kismet Yoga of Stokesley.
Goat Yoga combines the wonderful benefits of yoga with the joy of interacting with animals, which increases your levels of Oxytocin "the love hormone" which is known to enhance your mood,lower blood pressure and yoga obviously improves your flexibility

Goat Yoga is similar to regular Yoga except the goats are playing around you whilst you are practising Yoga. You will have a small bag of treats under your mat to encourage the goats to visit your station and they may sit on your back whilst you carry out certain poses.
Lisa Stevenson has been practising yoga for 8 years and teaching children, teens and adults for 5 years. Lisa is a certified Yoga teacher, cold therapy practitioner and meditation practitioner.
Lisa is also offering private Yoga at Abbey Farm Cottage,with or without goats, for guests who are staying with us. Please book direct with Kismet Yoga Studio (www.kismetyogastudio.com)
You will get to meet, learn about the goats and have a cuddle with them with Jonty before your Yoga session

Dates for 2025 have been confirmed as the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month starting 13th April except June when it will be only the be the 4th Sunday (extra dates may be added subject to demand.)
Outdoor Goat Yoga has finished for 2024, But don't despair we have a fun Christmas Goat Yoga planned for Sunday 8th December 2024. Wrap up warm for Goat Yoga in the barn, wear your best Christmas sweater or Christmas fancy dress
prize for the best outfit!! After Yoga we will be festive drinks and Mince Pies around the fire pit or in the kitchen if the weather lets us down.
